Man, Deadpool & Wolverine is like a rollercoaster ride through the craziest comic book shop ever! It's the wild child of Phase 5, totally flipping the script and showing us that the Marvel Universe is a playground with absolutely no rules.

Our favorite wise-cracking mercenary, is heartbroken after losing his world's Wolverine. Desperate to fix things, he teams up with a totally different Wolverine who's seen better days. It's like a buddy comedy gone cosmic as they get lost in the Void, this crazy, chaotic dimension filled with mind-bending surprises. And let's not forget the villain, Cassandra Nova, a real twisted piece of work who's got a mutant army at her beck and call.

The movie's packed with cameos that'll make your fanboy heart explode. You've got X-23, all grown up and kicking butt, Elektra looking as lethal as ever, Johnny Storm bringing the flame, Blade in vampire-slaying mode, and even a glimpse of Gambit, the elusive card-throwing rogue. But the real kicker? There's hardly any X-Men! It's like Marvel's teasing us, saying, "Hold your horses, the best is yet to come." This movie is just setting the stage for something even bigger, a massive X-Men showdown that's gonna blow our minds.

    The X-Men's Mysterious Absence

While Deadpool & Wolverine was a wild ride through the multiverse, many fans were left scratching their heads at the notable absence of the core X-Men team. Sure, we got Wolverine, Colossus, Yukio, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, but where were the iconic faces like Cyclops, Storm, and Jean Grey? Even Professor X, despite being mentioned and having a sinister twin sister as the villain, was nowhere to be found.

It's a glaring omission, especially considering the long-awaited reunion of the X-Men in the MCU. With the Multiverse Saga winding down, time is ticking for these beloved characters to make their grand return before a potential reboot.

However, this absence might actually be a clever strategic move. By keeping the focus on Deadpool and Wolverine, the film has built even more anticipation for a full-blown X-Men ensemble in the future. It's like Marvel is saving the best for last, promising an epic payoff that will truly satisfy fans of the original Fox franchise.

Okay, so the X-Men were total no-shows in Deadpool & Wolverine. But I'm starting to think Marvel's playing a bigger game here. They're saving these mutant legends for something huge.

I'm talking Avengers: Secret Wars huge. We're looking at a multiverse showdown that's gonna blow our minds, with the Russo Brothers back in the director's chair and even Iron Man making a comeback as Doctor Doom. It's like the ultimate comic book wet dream.

Imagine this: The MCU and the Fox X-Men universe colliding in a cosmic battle royale. It's the crossover we've been waiting for! Keeping the X-Men out of Deadpool & Wolverine was a smart move. It builds suspense and makes their eventual appearance even more epic. It's like Marvel's saying, "Hold your horses, fans. We're cooking up something special."

And let's not forget that The Marvels post-credits scene dropped a major hint. Monica Rambeau's off on a cosmic adventure with Beast and a new character. It's clear they're setting the stage for a massive X-Men crossover. So, while it stings a bit to see our favorite mutants on the sidelines for now, the payoff is gonna be insane.

Secret Wars: A Potential Death Knell for the Fox X-Men Universe

If Marvel Studios faithfully adapts the comic book event, Secret Wars could mark the end of an era for the X-Men. The original storyline saw the destruction of the Ultimate Universe, a harsh reset that reshaped the Marvel landscape. It's entirely possible that the MCU will mirror this, using Secret Wars to wipe the slate clean for the X-Men.

Imagine this: Battleworld, a chaotic patchwork of different realities, becomes the ultimate battleground. With the Fox X-Men universe thrown into the mix, it's a recipe for catastrophic destruction. While some might mourn the loss of familiar faces, characters and storylines, it's also a chance to reinvigorate the franchise.

Just like the comics, there's hope for survival. Certain characters, perhaps fan-favorites like Deadpool or a younger generation of mutants, could bridge the gap between the old and new universes. It's a risky gamble, but it could pay off big time. By sacrificing the old X-Men world, Marvel can build something truly spectacular from the ashes. It's a bittersweet prospect, but one that could lead to a thrilling new chapter in mutant history.

So, there you have it, folks! The future of the X-Men is looking as uncertain as ever. While the prospect of losing the beloved Fox universe is heartbreaking, the potential for a fresh start in the MCU is equally exciting.

Whether it's a glorious send-off or a new beginning, one thing's for sure: the X-Men are about to embark on one hell of a ride.
