Ochaco Uraraka (麗うらら日かお茶ちゃ子こ, Uraraka Ochako), known to the world as the Zero Gravity Hero: Uravity (無む重じゅう力りょく ヒーロー ウラビティ, Mujūryoku Hīrō Urabiti), once walked the halls of U.A. High School as a determined student of Class 1-A, striving toward her dream of becoming a Hero.

Now, eight years after the Final War, that dream stands realized. Having graduated alongside her classmates, Ochaco has risen through the ranks of Pro Heroes, her name etched into the ever-evolving landscape of heroism. Bearing the mantle of the current No. 24 Hero, she continues to defy gravity—both in battle and in spirit—lifting those around her toward a brighter tomorrow.

    Appearance

Ochaco Uraraka carries an air of warmth and resilience, her appearance reflecting the balance between youthful optimism and growing strength. Petite yet undeniably athletic, she possesses a slender yet curvy build, her fair skin kissed with the ever-present pink blush marks on her cheeks. Auburn locks frame her face in a bob, her bangs resting just above her expressive, round eyes—eyes that match her hair in color and are accentuated by thick, prominent lashes. Small yet distinct pads rest on her fingertips, reminiscent of an animal’s paw, granting her the control to activate and deactivate her Quirk with precision.

During her time at Rozaryu Middle School, Ochaco donned a traditional seifuku—plain white with dark blue accents on the Kansai collar, cuffs, and skirt—paired with a red scarf, black tights, and brown school shoes. In colder months, she layered with a brown duffel coat and a soft pink scarf, a quiet contrast to the determination burning within her as she stepped toward the U.A. Entrance Exam.

At U.A. High, she wore the standard female student uniform: a gray dress jacket with teal stripes and golden buttons, a crisp white shirt, a red tie, and a pleated teal skirt. Unlike many of her peers, she opted for black tights instead of knee-high socks, completing the look with brown dress shoes.

Her initial hero costume embraced a bold yet functional design—an obsidian-black full-body suit adorned with soft pink accents tracing the length of her torso. Two black semi-spheres rested on her chest, while deep pink stripes curved around her waist. A matching choker and two-toned pink sleeves, capped with thick cuffs, added to the ensemble. Utility was woven into the details: round gauntlets equipped with handles to regulate her blood pressure, knee-high boots with shock-absorbent soles and reinforced heels for impact absorption, and a two-piece belt with a round buckle. On occasion, she wore a tinted visor headgear to reduce auditory strain. While her costume was initially tighter than intended due to a design miscommunication, she adapted, growing into it both physically and metaphorically.

During the Hero Work-Studies, her costume evolved. The midsection bore a single pink stripe instead of two, and her belt slimmed down, losing its center piece. Her gauntlets transformed, now featuring four raised openings capable of launching grappling hooks. Her boots, too, saw modifications, now equipped with ventilation holes on either side. Even her headgear changed—raised higher, the visor removed.

Eight years after the Final War, Ochaco's presence has matured. She stands taller, her frame leaner and more athletic, her face sculpted with newfound angularity. Her once-wide eyes have subtly narrowed, and the signature blush on her cheeks, though still present, has begun to fade with time. Her hair has grown slightly longer, her bangs softening the edges of her evolving strength. Her hero costume now incorporates a mouth guard respirator reminiscent of Izuku’s U.A. suit, a silent testament to the lessons she carries forward. The once-vertical dots on her chest now sit horizontally, and fingerless gloves complete her attire—an emblem of a hero who has honed her touch, her will, and her place in the world.

    Personality

Ochaco Uraraka is the kind of person whose presence feels like sunshine—warm, lively, and effortlessly uplifting. Described by her classmates as the most easygoing girl in Class 1-A, she radiates an infectious energy, her bubbly personality often bordering on airheadedness. She's unfiltered in the best way, delivering blunt remarks without realizing it and reacting to situations with exaggerated, often comedic expressions. Whether it's a friend's quirk or an odd personality trait, Ochaco has a habit of bursting into laughter, only to scramble and suppress it out of politeness.

But beneath her cheerful exterior lies a depth of perception and emotional intelligence that often goes unnoticed. Ochaco is deeply empathetic, attuned to the emotions of those around her—able to read the rivalry between Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo or sense when even the usually unshakable Tsuyu Asui is upset. She forms strong bonds effortlessly, standing as a pillar of support for her classmates, particularly Izuku, Tenya Iida, and Tsuyu.

That kindness, however, does not make her weak. When the moment calls for it, Ochaco can shift from lighthearted to fiercely determined. Whether facing opponents in the U.A. Sports Festival or fighting side by side with her peers, she proves herself to be strategic, adaptable, and unrelenting. Though at times she acts on impulse, she continues to refine her instincts, sharpening her skills with each challenge. Her refusal to be underestimated fuels her, pushing her to stand her ground, even against overwhelming odds.

Coming from a modest, financially struggling household, Ochaco's relationship with money is both practical and comedic. She finds joy in the simplest of luxuries—sometimes to the point of fainting—and takes frugality to an extreme, willing to skip meals or even limit her oxygen intake just to save a bit more. But beyond the quirks, her motivations are rooted in love: she became a hero to give her parents a better life. While money played a role in her decision, the dream itself had always been there, sparked by admiration for those who brought hope to others.

As a hero, Ochaco gravitated toward rescue work, idolizing Thirteen for their expertise in saving lives. Yet, understanding her own limitations, she trained under the combat-oriented hero Gunhead to develop her fighting abilities. This choice transformed her into a more instinctive and capable fighter, reinforcing her belief that heroism required both heart and strength.

Among her greatest inspirations is Izuku Midoriya. His unwavering resolve, his kindness, his relentless drive—Ochaco admires him deeply, to the point of developing feelings she struggles to reconcile with her responsibilities. While her crush is evident in her flustered reactions and occasional jealousy—especially in moments involving Mei Hatsume, Melissa Shield, or "Camie"—she pushes her emotions aside, believing that heroism must come first. Yet, Izuku also challenges her perspective on what it means to protect, leading her to question: who saves the heroes when they need it most?

Ochaco’s compassion extends even to those deemed beyond saving. In her encounters with Himiko Toga, she initially views the villain as nothing more than an enemy. But when faced with Toga’s tears—when confronted with the pain beneath the chaos—Ochaco cannot ignore the humanity in her. Despite everything, she recognizes that villains are still people, shaped by circumstances she may never fully understand. This revelation, mirrored in Izuku’s own empathy toward Tomura Shigaraki, cements her belief that heroism isn’t just about stopping threats—it’s about reaching out, even when it seems impossible.

During the Final War, this conviction drives her. Instead of fighting to subdue Toga, she chooses to listen—to offer the connection the villain had long been denied. She acknowledges that Toga’s crimes cannot be erased, yet she vows to be the one who finally hears her, even offering her own blood in a symbolic act of understanding. In the end, Ochaco’s compassion succeeds where force could not, bringing Toga’s rampage to an end.

But heroism comes with loss. Toga, in a final act of sacrifice, transfers all her blood to Ochaco to save her life. As the only witness to her passing, Ochaco carries the weight of that moment alone. While she outwardly smiles, throwing herself into rebuilding efforts, the grief lingers. She distances herself from her classmates, unwilling to dampen their relief with her sorrow. Yet when they come to comfort her, she finally allows herself to mourn, to release the guilt that had settled in her heart. From that moment on, she vows to be better—to ensure that no one like Himiko Toga is left behind again.

Eight years later, Ochaco has fulfilled that vow. As a Pro Hero, she dedicates herself to more than just fighting crime; she pioneers Quirk counseling programs, traveling to schools across Japan to guide young children, offering them the understanding and support they need before they can ever feel lost. Her efforts prove groundbreaking, reshaping the way society nurtures the next generation of heroes.

Even with heroes now granted more freedom, Ochaco remains selfless, brushing off the idea of "me time" as unnecessary. Yet, deep inside, she longs for something personal—for the one thing she had always held back. That longing is answered when Izuku finds her alone and, at last, confesses his feelings. With the lingering presence of Toga nudging her forward, urging her to embrace the life she truly wants, Ochaco lets go of hesitation. This time, she doesn’t suppress her feelings. This time, she chooses happiness.

And so, after years of self-sacrifice, Ochaco finally allows herself to love—not just as a hero, but as the person she has always been.

    Abilities

    Ochaco Stuns Katsuki

Don’t underestimate her. Ochaco Uraraka, the gravity-defying heroine, has the skill and sharp instincts to catch even a powerhouse like Katsuki Bakugo off guard.

    Overall Combat Abilities

At first glance, Ochaco may not seem like the most formidable fighter, but her growth at U.A. has been nothing short of remarkable. From a promising start—securing 3rd place in the U.A. Entrance Exam and 10th in the Quirk Apprehension Test—she has transformed into a strategic and adaptable warrior.

Her signature combat style revolves around closing the distance, applying Zero Gravity, and throwing her enemies into a literal state of helplessness. Opponents float aimlessly, stripped of their balance and combat effectiveness. But Ochaco doesn’t just make enemies weightless—she weaponizes the battlefield. She hurls floating rubble as devastating projectiles and wields massive structures as improvised weapons, flipping the tide of battle with raw ingenuity. By negating her own weight, she moves with enhanced speed, striking unpredictably, and misleading foes with floating decoys.

Make no mistake—Ochaco Uraraka is among Class 1-A’s fiercest female combatants.

    Ochaco’s Evolution—From Student to Warrior

During the U.S.J. Incident, she was instrumental in restraining Kurogiri, giving her allies the opening they needed. In the U.A. Sports Festival, she clashed with Bakugo—a force of raw destruction. Despite the odds, Ochaco surprised him, forcing him into a corner where he had no choice but to unleash his full power against her.

Determined to bridge the gap, she trained under Gunhead, mastering close-quarters combat. The result? A fighter who can take down enemies with swift, precise grapples—evident when she effortlessly countered and pinned the dangerous Himiko Toga.

Even Nejire Hado, the elite warrior of U.A.’s Big 3, recognized Ochaco’s potential, recommending her for an internship under Ryukyu, the No. 10 Pro Hero. And Ochaco delivered—helping her squad take down Rikiya Katsukame in the Shie Hassaikai Raid. Later, during Joint Training, she neutralized Neito Monoma with sheer tactical brilliance and took down Reiko Yanagi and Yui Kodai with single, decisive strikes.

But her defining moment came in the Final War. Handpicked to face Himiko Toga—an enemy as chaotic as she was lethal—Ochaco awakened. After being stabbed, she transcended her limits, expanding the reach of her Quirk beyond anything previously possible. One touch now created a chain reaction, making everything in its radius weightless.

    Gunhead Martial Arts

Ochaco’s close-quarters combat is a fusion of technique and momentum. Gunhead’s training made her a master of grappling, takedowns, and reversals—turning her enemies’ own force against them. Whether it was Himiko Toga or villainous smugglers, she systematically disarmed and subdued them with ruthless efficiency.

    Enhanced Attributes

    • Strength: Ochaco’s raw power lies in her creative combat applications. Her Zero Gravity grants her the ability to lift and hurl massive debris, shaping the battlefield to her advantage. By the Final War Arc, she defied all expectations, single-handedly lifting hundreds of thousands of Twice clones—a force capable of flooding an entire city.

    • Speed & Agility: Her reflexes, sharpened by relentless training, allow her to dance around attacks, evade deadly strikes, and strike with precision. Even while wounded, she navigated through an onslaught of clones—dodging, countering, and floating enemies in one seamless motion.

    • Durability & Stamina: Ochaco endures. Whether facing Bakugo’s relentless explosions or pushing through blood loss after a fatal stab wound, she refuses to break. She held her ground against a Trigger-enhanced Rikiya for a staggering 20 minutes, outlasting his enhanced endurance. And in the Final War, bleeding out and on the brink, she kept fighting—until the battle was won.

    • Tactical Intellect: What Ochaco lacks in brute strength, she makes up for in strategy. She dissects her opponents' weaknesses in real time—exploiting gaps, setting traps, and turning the tide before they even realize they’ve lost. Whether pinpointing Kurogiri’s weak spot in seconds or outmaneuvering Neito Monoma’s copied Quirks, she adapts and executes flawlessly.

    Unyielding Will—A True Hero’s Spirit

Ochaco Uraraka embodies the unshakable resolve of a true hero. From her humble dream of financial stability to her relentless pursuit of strength, her journey is one of determination. Even when faced with overwhelming power—like Bakugo’s merciless explosions—she never wavered. She endured. She fought. And she earned his respect.

During the Final War, when everything was on the line, she stood against Himiko Toga—stabbed, outnumbered, and drenched in blood. But her willpower refused to crumble. She didn’t just survive—she prevailed, proving that strength isn’t just about power; it’s about refusing to yield when the world tries to break you. Specialized Combat Techniques

    Quirk: Zero Gravity

Ochaco’s Zero Gravity manipulates weight with precision. One touch and solid objects—living or inanimate—lose their tether to the earth. She wields this ability for both offense and rescue, disarming threats while effortlessly clearing debris from disaster zones.

However, before her awakening, she had limits—her weight cap was around three tons, and prolonged use triggered severe nausea. That changed in the Final War. Her Awakening shattered those barriers:

    • She no longer needs direct contact—Zero Gravity now spreads between connected objects.

    • The weight limit is gone.

    • She can now control descent speed, placing levitated objects down gently without canceling her Quirk.

Ochaco Uraraka no longer simply fights within gravity’s limits—she defies them entirely

Comet Home Run (彗星ホームラン) – Ochaco turns a pillar into a baseball bat and hammers rubble at her target with pinpoint accuracy.

Gravity Plus (グラビティ プラス) – A fusion of Zero Gravity and Gunhead Martial Arts, using an opponent’s weightlessness to execute high-impact throws.

Ochaco’s evolution is the story of an underdog turned warrior. What began as a dream to provide for her family became something much greater—an unshakable will to stand against the darkness. Her Quirk, her combat skills, her endurance—everything has been sharpened through trials and battle.

And when the world was at its darkest—when the heroes stood on the brink—she rose.
